KP and KW planting young oak IMG_2891Help plant Native trees–We will be planting native trees and shrubs with your help. The trees are small and holes are pre-dug for us, so these are family friendly events.

2020 Planting 25th Maidu open space (adjacent to Maidu Park off Rocky Ridge Dr) 9 am to 12:30 pm. We will be planting trees near the eastern end of the open space. You can park along the open space on Johnson Ranch Rd near Park Hill Dr, but watch for “No Parking” signs in some areas though.

Taming of the Shrub (Learn hands-on pruning of shrubs, tree) Saturday, February 29 • 10 am – 12 pm at the Utility Exploration Center in Mahany Park, Roseville CA.
Proper pruning will greatly enhance your plants. Learn how to prune a variety of shrubs, roses and trees in this hands-on workshop. We will demonstrate proper pruning techniques and provide an opportunity for you to practice. We recommend that participants take the Pruning with Purpose workshop first, which covers the concepts that we will be put into action. Come prepared to work both inside and outside during this workshop.
