“Ask the Arborist” Friday, April 13, 4-6 pm: feel free to bring photos or ask us about tree care or pruning.

Saturday, April 14th from 11-3 Free Critter Books for kids to make. Guessing book with local critters who live in the our oak woodlands are included in this little book. Kids assemble the books using a rubber band and a stick. The book was written and illustrated by RUFF members and printing is funded by the City of Roseville Tree Mitigation Fund.

Earth-Day-Booth-16-minThursday April 19, 2018 from 9:30-3 pm-Earth Day at Sierra College, come visit our booth and get tree information or advice. We will help kids make a free “Critter Book” showcasing local critters who live in our oak woodlands and the Critter Tree will be available for kids to play with.

 

Saturday April 21, 2018 from 10-3-Earth Day at Royer Park in Roseville. Come visit this new event sponsored by the Arts Council of Placer County in beautiful, shady Royer Park. We will be making our free “Critter Books” with kids and they can explore our Critter Tree while adults get tree advice.

 

Monday April 30, 2018 is RUFF’s Trivia Night at Bar 101 in Old Town Roseville. Bring a team or just yourself to this fun evening of trivia and some good food and drinks. We will have a great raffle and everyone has fun trying to answer the questions-some about trees and some general. Proceeds go to support RUFF programs. March 7-May 15-Arbor Week Projects with local schools. We received a grant from California ReLeaf and US Forest Service to provide Tree-themed books and colored pencils to the fourth-graders at three local schools along with curriculum highlighting the benefits of trees to our environment.

Thursday April 20, 9:30am-3pm Earth Day at Sierra College. Free event includes live music, a used book sales, plant sale, booths and demonstrations. Sierra College Events

Saturday, April 22, 10 am-3 pm-Celebrate the Earth Festival at Mahany Park in Roseville. Come visit us at this fun, free event. We will have our “animal tree” for kids to play with and be making Critter Books with kids. Bring your tree questions to ask our tree experts. Celebrate the Earth
